Our school Akcaabat Hotel and Tourism Secondary-school is a public vocational secondary school with 360 students and 36 teachers. It offers 4-year-vocational education. The school premises include a three-star-equivalent practice hotel for our students called Practice Hotel (Uygulama Oteli in Turkish) with 124 bed, restaurant and meeting rooms. The hotel is open to public and provides our students with the opportunity to be trained in authentic tourism situations. In addition, our 10th and 11th grade students are sent to prominent tourism spots in Türkiye like Antalya and Marmaris for their job training between May and October. Our school participated to two different Leonardo Da Vinci mobility projects conducted in Germany and Sweden in 2005 and 2006 respectively. We are eager to coordinate and participate to all types of hotel-keeping and tourism related projects and events. We are also quite enthusiastic about establishing a student exchange system for tourism training with or without the framework of EU projects.
